Lionel Silva started his career in the Tea Industry before making the transition to the Paper Industry. He has over three decades experience and proved excellence.
He has been the past president of the Australian Chamber of Commerce, Past Vice President and thereafter president to the Sri Lanka – Canada Business Council.
He enjoys spending his free time with his wife Shirlene, daughter Lidechsi and his dog Skylar
OUR HISTORY
Established in 1986, for the first decade, Lidechsi were the exclusive agent for Ekman & Co AB, a Swedish trading house, that was founded in 1802 in Gothenburg, Sweden, and was the second largest trading company in the world. Through Ekman & Co AB, Lidechsi was able to offer all paper products to the market.
Lidechsi started with news print and gradually moved into packaging. By 1996, the company was able to have a 45% market share in Sri Lanka. This is a testament to the quality of products and service.
The company has since grown and expanded its operations internationally.
